GENERAL INFORMATION

The NAP district final is a 2 session pair event.
1st session starts at noon
Players must have qualified earlier at a club qualifier game and a unit final.

The top three pairs in each flight at the District Final qualifies for the ACBL Final at the Spring 2006 North American Bridge Championship in Dallas, TX. In 2004-2005, the top pair in each flight received airfare to the NABC and three days lodging at the NABC. The second place pair in each flight received return airfare. The third place pair in each flight was not subsidized. We don't have the information about 2005-2006 subsidies at this time.

CONDITIONS OF CONTEST
Each entrant is presumed to be familiar with and accept the Conditions of Contest for this event.

In addition to the ACBL Conditions, District 12 has adopted the following Conditions for Unit and District - level events:

Unit Finals

Each Unit in the District will conduct a separate Unit Final. Units 137 & 203 will hold a combined final (players will qualify separately out of each Unit), and Unit 195 will hold a final at multiple sites, played simultaneously. Each Unit will run a stratified Unit Final.

Players who qualify at ACBL-sanctioned clubs may enter one (1) Unit Final. Players may enter the Unit Final of their choice, without regard to Unit affiliation or to the location of the club game in which they qualified. Players who enter more than one (1) Unit Final will become disqualified, will forfeit all entry fees paid, and will be referred to the District Judiciary Committee for disciplinary action. Because all Units will run stratified events, players may not enter multiple Unit Finals in multiple flights.

Each player must be an ACBL member in good standing. An ACBL member in good standing is defined as: A player who is not currently on suspension, indefinite probation or serving probation in excess of 90 days that resulted from a suspension, the initial term of which was in excess of 90 days and whose dues are current OR, A Life Master with Life Member status (must have joined the ACBL prior to January 1, 1996 and have never resigned his membership at any time) who is not currently on suspension, indefinite probation or serving probation in excess of 90 days that resulted from a suspension, the initial term of which was in excess of 90 days whose fees may or may not be paid.

Players whose dues are not paid current at or before the Unit Final will not be eligible for any ACBL or District stipend to the National Finals.

60% of each Unit Final field will qualify to the District Final.

District Final
Important! The District Final will be held on Saturday this year.

Any player entering the District Final may play with any other player who qualifies in the same Flight from a Unit Final. Players must make final flight elections prior to the District Final.

In order for a pair to play in the District Final, the District Coordinator must receive the pair’s registration form and entry fee on or before October 25, 2005. Forms will be provided to the Unit administrators prior to the Unit Final, and will be available from the District website. Pairs may turn in its form and registration fee to the Unit Administrator at the conclusion of the Unit Final in which they play; pairs that do not register at the time of the Unit Final must register with the District Coordinator, directly.

This year’s entry fee is $24.00 per player ($48.00 per pair).

Registered pairs who do not appear to play in the event will forfeit their registration fees. Registered pairs may cancel their entries through October 25, 2005 and receive a full refund of registration fees. Registered pairs who cancel after October 25, 2005 and before November 3, 2005 will receive a refund of the pair’s registration fee less a $5.00 administrative fee per player.
