The 2006-2007 North American Pairs competition begins in June 2006. This fun event starts at local bridge clubs and culminates at the 2007 Spring Nationals in St. Louis. Players progress through elimination games at their clubs, units, and districts; in District 12, three pairs are eligible to represent the District in each flight.
There are three flights for this event: A (Unlimited); B (0-2000); and C (0-500/NLM), all points are as of the June 2006 cycle.. Club games are played as stratified games in this District, increasing a player’s chances to qualify in their flight and higher flights.
District 12 has changed its conditions for this year’s competition. In 2006, there will be no Unit Finals in the District; players will qualify at club games to play in the District Final.
The District Final will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2006, in East Lansing. Details on the time and place will be on the District website in July.
BECAUSE OF THE CHANGE IN FORMAT, ALL ELIGIBLE PLAYERS MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR THE DISTRICT FINALS. Registration forms and information will be available on the District’s website beginning in mid-July.
If you qualify at a club game, ask the club director to print out a qualification slip. You will need to present this slip at the District Final in order to play.
This game is governed by the ACBL Conditions of Contest. Here is a link to that document: Link
