2006-2007 NORTH AMERICAN PAIRS DISTRICT FINAL

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

The District 12 Final will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the MSU Student Union, Michigan State University, Lansing MI. This is the same location as in recent past years. The first session is scheduled to begin at Noon. The second session’s starting time will be announced during the first session. Pre-registered pairs must check in by 11:45 a.m. to preserve their reservations. Registration will open at 11:15 a.m.

All partnerships are expected to play both sessions. No partnerships will be permitted to withdraw except with the permission of both the Director-in-Charge and the District Coordinator. Partnerships that withdraw will not receive any refund of registration fees.

All partnerships are encouraged to pre-register for this event. We are trying a new format this year, and expect a larger tournament field. In order to ensure adequate seating for all participants, we must have an accurate projections of entries in advance of the event.

Please print out and complete both pages in full, and forward the form to the District Coordinator with your appropriate entry fee. Please note that the amount of the entry fee will vary according to when you pre-register.

Partnerships who do not preregister may attempt to register on the day of the event. The Registration Fee for walk-in partnerships will be $80.00. In addition, no walk-ins will be processed until after all pre-registrants are assigned to tables; walk-ins will be permitted to play based upon available seating, and at the sole discretion of the Director-in-Charge.

You will be considered to successfully preregister provided that the District Coordinator receives your partnership’s Pre-Registration Form and fee on or before September 14, 2006. Non-timely registrations that do not include the appropriate fee will be required to supplement their entry fees prior to starting the first session. These partnerships, only, may submit a written request for reconsideration and partial refund of entry fees, with appropriate explanation of the basis for the request, to the District Board at its October 2006 meeting.

As explained on the Pre-Registration Form, registered pairs who withdraw prior to the event will receive refunds of their registration fees, less administrative charges, based on the date of withdrawal.

Forms must be mailed or delivered to the District Coordinator, and must be accompanied by payment. Incomplete pre-registrations will be returned.
