Plymouth DBC Leads The Way in Grass Roots Fund Month     
The Grass Roots Fund is a relatively new way for each
district to raise additional monies which are designed to help
support the games which are considered Grass Roots games -  
the NAP and GNT.   
The district uses the proceeds to help subsidize the district
winners in those events for their participation in the NABC Finals
of those two events.  For the second year in a row, the
Plymouth DBC had the greatest level of participation during
Grass Roots FUNd month; which is the entire month of May.
During May any club may make any or all of its games a
Grass Roots FUNd game. This year 29 of the 72 clubs
within the district participated in Grass Roots
FUNd month; that leaves plenty of room for improvement.
Additionally, each seven day Regional within the district is
allowed to designate their Monday pair games as Grass Roots
Fund games. The district Board has asked that each Regional
sponsor do so and that has added to the amount raised this year.
